چکیده
73 years old, male, referred from Internal Medicine department with diagnose Diabetic Polyneuropathy. The patient felt numbness at both feet since about 8 ago and also complain shortened walking distance because of fatigue. From the physical examination we found that has muscle weakness left leg. foot there were decreased vibration light touch sensation, anhidrosis, hyperkeratosis his feet. There charcot arthropathy fat pad. Foot pressure was high. treatment goal for this is to wear comfortable footwear, improving endurance, preventing future ulceration. insole needed decrease plantar during ambulation. Recommended rehabilitation involves interaction between health care team achieve goals.

A portable insole plantar pressure measurement system.
To analyze plantar pressures during activities of daily living, one needs a fully portable system capable of measuring many steps over extended periods. This paper presents an inexpensive, reliable, portable plantar pressure acquisition system which we have developed. It allows the long-term recording (up to 2 hours) of pressure-time data from 14 pressure sensors within insoles. The sensor chos...
متن کاملA comparison of shoe insole materials in plantar pressure relief.
A clinical study was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of seven shoe insole materials and their ability to relieve areas of high plantar pressure. The following materials were tested: Latex foam, Plastazote, Dynafoam, Ortho felt, PPTR, Spenco, and Molo. Twenty-six patients with areas of high plantar pressure were tested using each of these materials. The Harris and Beath footprinting tech...
متن کاملPOFBG-Embedded Cork Insole for Plantar Pressure Monitoring
We propose a novel polymer optical fiber (POF) sensing system based on fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) to measure foot plantar pressure. The plantar pressure signals are detected by five FBGs, in the same piece of cyclic transparent optical polymer (CYTOP) fiber, which are embedded in a cork insole for the dynamic monitoring of gait. The calibration and measurements performed with the suggested sys...
متن کاملRedistribution of joint moments is associated with changed plantar pressure in diabetic polyneuropathy
BACKGROUND Patients with diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) are often confronted with ulceration of foot soles. Increased plantar pressure under the forefoot has been identified as a major risk factor for ulceration. This study sets out to test the hypothesis that changes in gait characteristics induced by DPN related muscle weakness are the origin of the elevated plantar pressures. METHODS Three ...
متن کاملAssessment of Diabetic Polyneuropathy and Plantar Pressure in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus in Prevention of Diabetic Foot
INTRODUCTION Risk assessment for development foot ulcer in diabetics is a key aspect in any plan and program for prevention of non-traumatic amputation of lower extremities. MATERIAL AND METHODS In the prospective research to assessed diabetic neuropathy in diabetic patients, to determined the dynamic function of the foot (plantar pressure), by using pedobarography (Group I), and after the us...
